Ryan Lamb

What has been your involvement with Ayuda and THON?

  • During my freshman year I was on a Rules and Regulations committee. I joined Ayuda during my sophomore year, and was also part of an OPP committee. I joined the Ayuda Exec board during my junior year as one of the Special Project Chairs, and was on another OPP committee. I became one of the Family Relation chairs during my senior year, and I also represented Ayuda as a dancer.

Why did you choose to apply to dance in THON?

  • With it being my senior year, I wanted to represent the Goras and Ayuda one last time, and the best way to do that was a dancer. With everything the Goras have been through, I wanted to be able to show them how much they inspire me each and every day.

What did dancing in THON mean to you?

  • It was such an honor to represent such an amazing family. Being able to stand on stage with the Goras as they shared their story with the entire BJC was an experience I will never forget. Dancing at THON will be a memory I never forget.

Graduation Year

Majors/Minors

  • Civil Engineering

What has been your involvement with Ayuda and THON?

  • I was involved with Ayuda all four years of college holding the positions of Web Team Coordinator, Special Projects Chair, Fundraising Chair and Vice President, my Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior years respectively.  Senior year I also had the honor of representing Ayuda on the floor as a dancer.

Why did you choose to apply to dance in THON?

  • I always had the thought of representing Ayuda on the dance floor since I was a freshman.  However, it wasn't until we were paired with the Gora's that I seriously considered it. The Gora's act as my daily inspiration and I wanted to show them thank you the best way possible.

What did dancing in THON mean to you?

  • Trying to put into words what dancing in THON meant to me is so difficult. Being chosen to dance for Ayuda and the Gora's was a great honor and one of the highlights of my college career. I couldn't be more thankful for the amazing people I've met through THON and to be able to wrap up my college experience with such an incredible and inspiring weekend was a cherry on top.
